The illusion of the movement of the rising and setting of the Sun can be observe as we go about our daily activities. This phenomenon make it seem like the Sun is rotating from one position to another, when in fact it is a star around which the Earth and other planets of the solar system revolve. The Sun is essentially a glowing ball of hot ionized gas or plasma, generating light and heat from nuclear reactions in its core, specifically the fusion of hydrogen into helium. While the Sun stays at the center of our solar system geographically and doesn't actually rise or set, its apparent movement is due to the Earth's rotation on its axis. Day and night are a result of this rotation, not the Earth's orbit around the Sun. The concept of "one day" is determined by the Earth's complete rotation on its axis, encompassing both daytime and nighttime.
