Stress; a silent killer.
Stress is basically our body's "flight or fight" response which happens when sympathetic nervous system gets activated as a consequence of any danger or threat from outside.
If this response starts to happen day in and day out, that is if a person is bombarded with threats or danger much often that might be the alarming sign for the body, dragging the body into the series of complications including life threatening diseases, sleep disorders, metabolic disorders, inability to take decisions, dementia etc and thus stress takes away our happiness, health and slowly transforms us into living corpses.
Moreover, stress doesn't only affect our body but also affects our relations. The people who we love or those who love us, are the first ones to experience change in us and sometimes, if not always that change can hurt them because when we are worried about something or stressed about a particular situation, often our outbursts happens over the people most close to us. They might not be knowing the exact reason for our yelling on them, they might not be the problem but still they become the object of getting away with our baggage.
Hope; a ray of light.
On the one hand while the stress gives us hundred reasons to think that we are doomed and everything is finished. Hope is that one reason that helps us get that light, that transforms us giving us a refreshing breath altogether.
When we hope our body receives the signals to calm the stress levels down.Where stress is destruction, hope is a source of revival, reminding us that stressing over uncontrollable is useless, while hoping that a situation can change, a wound can be healed and happiness and ease can be gained back breaks away the chain of self destructive thoughts and patterns that add worries and uneasiness to our lives.
Hope makes us realize that we ar not alone in this world. We begin to see the positives and blessings that have been blurred in the situations of stress and worries. As certain things are out of human hands simply. No matter how hard we try to get the things go according our way, we won't succeed beacuse there's a creator above us who has all the hold over us.
So next time when we are faced with a new stress in our life, lets make hope a necessity for the revival of life, for breathing freely and relaxing our mind, body and soul.
